Wow, it Has Been Quite a Year!

I can't believe it has been over a year since I last posted.  I was shocked to see that I could still log on considering the "security" lots of platforms have instituted.  I "thought" about a Facebook account so I could read quilting stuff but it was just too much of a pain in the arse for those of us of a certain age who really don't want to over-share and only lurk.  So it is what is and hence the post!

Anyway, it has been quite a year for me.  The first half of 2023 were normal but it certainly went downhill from there.  On July 4th I was enjoying a day of machine quilting and my beloved hubby had a stroke which changed our lives tremendously.  It has been a long haul but he is doing much better all things considered.  While dealing with hubby's stroke and tryng to keep a household going my elderly parents got sick and died three weeks apart.  Needless to say life has been busy and not much quilting has gone on.

I have been doing a little here and there and I thought I would share a few things.  So here goes!

Harvey, a Country Threads pattern, that I have had for maybe 30 years that I have wanted to make and last year I finally took the plunge.  I call it Tula Pink meets Country Threads.  I love it!  I added ruby colored buttons for eyes since ruby-eyed rabbits are not very popular and I wanted to embrace one in fabric and wish I would have adopted one when the opportunity presented itself.  You might enjoy this story about Merlin who was a rabbit adopted from the Buckeye House Rabbit Socity as it is just so heartwarming Merlin, Buckeye House Rabbit Society.

Not only has life got in the way of quilting, but my camera died.  OMG, what am I going to do as I am not really into using my phone to do all of this stuff.  So I bought a camera on Amazon that was targeted for children.  I still haven't figured it out so who knows when I will be able to post something new.  I may have to bite the bullet and figure out the phone/laptop connection but don't hold your breath.   I loved my camera and just don't know if I will move forward with techology with all that is going on.

Well that is life in my little world.  I want everyone who used to read my blog know that I really appreciate it.  I read lots of blogs on a daily basis but never comment since I have to log in to this site and it is just one more thing to add to my day and it is easier to just read.

Well that's all for now.  I hope to work things out and maybe particpate in a few things in the future but don't hold your breath waiting for me.  I will give technology a try so that I can at least post evey now and then.

Cheers,

Debi
